How It All Works
Alright, don't have a name for this but it has been popping in and out of my head for the last few months and I need to write it down somewhere or I will probably go insane
So, the game is kinda like Rouglike meets DND meets Infinite Caft. Start of each run you choose from a selection of weapons that are listed on the previous page, would list them here but I might add more later so then I wont have to change it here too. Each run you do normal Rouglike shit, progress through dungeons, end of each dungeon boss, go back to the hub and jump back in after some prep. though the eneimies will drop random items that you can use to upgrade your items. lets say a goblin guy drops a copper bar, and you can infuse it to your sword to get a stronger one. though that isnt where it ends, you can also take your copper and unfuse it and maybe fuse it with a ruby to get a ruby encrusted copper bar, then fusing that back with the sword not only is it stronger but it also inflicts a burn like damage. you would have different interactions with different items, though some might repeat since you cant do too much variations in the bladed weapons other than the playstyles each provides natively. anyways, at the end of each run wether it is death or succeding, all of your materials get transformed into Essence, which you can then trade with the merchant in the hub area to maybe get access to different dungeons, or upgrades automatically attached to your weapon at the start of the run. there might also be some rest points in the middle of your runs where you find a tavern filled with random wayward travelers that are trapped in the same dungeon cycle you are in and maybe trade with them, or hire some of them to join you on your quest for a time, and maybe its just a spot to rest and recouperate.
